day 7.

Party:




Things got a little crazy after I posted here last night, and these were the only photos I felt were decent enough to post. Things that shant be posted included the series of photos involving the lighting on fire of pubic hair (for the sake of the fine Allen parents) and the many dance moves of “party phil” (party phil himself requested no photos be shown).

So this afternoon we all got up around 1 or later, and walked in haze, like zombies, out of the house we stayed. We then immediately went to Hooters for lunch as a fond farwell. Yeah, you read that correctly.


The first leg of the tour is now over and we have two days off before the second half begins. We drove straight from Hooters home to New York, and I’m currently sitting on my own bed in my parent’s house on Long Island. Traveling is strange to me, the idea of waking up in Kentucky and going to sleep here at home is a pretty far out thought, man. Then again, I’m exhausted. Traveling with a band is even stranger, still. You go to a lot of places, but you never really experience them. I’m bummed I didn’t get to explore Chicago more, what I saw of it, I loved.

I’d like to just say how much fun I’ve had this past week, and how grateful I am for this experience. Again, I can’t get over how much we all love Thunderboys. They are really great friends and I’m so happy and proud to know them. We literally can’t wait to meet up with them again on Friday. I’m also very much looking forward to seeing the Allen parents, who were so accommodating to us back in Michigan.

Talking to Ryan Allen on the phone was cute, as he told us they all missed us already, and had listened to the Rahim EP on the road. What a bunch of fucking softies. We love it.


Ok, shower/bath/shave/shampoo and then its sleep time in my own bed.
